Community Beautification and Maintenance
  • How can we enhance the Grayhawk common areas, pools and signage
The Beautification Committee is assembling a multi-year plan to add plantings, signage and other enhancements to Grayhawk. With more than 100 acres of land and lakes, 2 pools and many parks throughout the community, this process will occur on an ongoing basis. Ideas from neighbors are always welcome!
  • How do I report problems in the common areas and pools?
You can send them to the Beautification Committee and SBB for attention. The best way is to use the online form to send details of the problem to the Beautification Committee, which will ask SBB to alert the maintenance crews. The Committee can also follow up to make sure the problem was addressed.
  • I have a concern about a particular property – how do I report that?
Concerns about lawns or specific properties are often sent to the Beautification Committee, although it does not directly oversee individual homes. These are sent to SBB who can notify a property owner if there are violations of the HOA regulations. Keeping Grayhawk beautiful is the responsibility of every property owner for the betterment of our entire community.
  • I want to enhance my landscaping. What do I need to do and where can I get ideas?
Landscaping improvements are encouraged and do not require HOA approval as long as they do not change the structure of the home or violate other parts of the CC&R requirements for landscape minimums. The Beautification Committee has begun a Showcase Yards Program to highlight neighbors with excellent curb appeal, both standard landscapes and those creating full gardens. These can be good sources of inspiration. You can also simply visit a neighbor with a beautiful lawn. Get to know your fellow Grayhawk residents and ask how they achieved a beautiful lawn. Finally, visit a garden center for advice from professionals who can advise on the best selection of plants and trees for our local area, including adding color and perennial green, fertilizer and water requirements and ideal selections for both sun and shade.
